We live in California, which means we have no excuse. Mountains, coastline, old-growth forest, high desert — all of it within reach on a weekend morning. So we move through it. Regularly. Without an agenda beyond showing up and paying attention to what's around us.
That's what Free looks like on a trail. No gym membership required. No schedule to optimize. Just two people moving their bodies through landscapes that remind them why they made the life choices they did.
A short hike before the week starts. A walk through a state park we've never visited. A trail that turns out to have a rattlesnake on it — those happen too. We film it anyway.
